AAALAC (Associationfor Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care, hereinafter referred to as AAALAC) recently sent an acknowledgement letter to Primed Biotech®, and the acknowledgement letter confirms that Sichuan Primed Shines Bio-Tech Co. Ltd., subsidiary of Primed Biotech® has obtained full accreditation of AAALAC International.

AAALAC International is a private, nonprofit organization that promotes the humane treatment of animals in science through voluntary accreditation and assessment programs. AAALAC International accreditation symbolizes the quality of experimental animals and biological safety level as well as the quality of the most advanced international research areas in preventive medicine field. To ensure and improve the quality of experimental animals, authorities of European and American drug safety highly suggest that animal experiments should be conducted in AAAALAC accredited organizations. With global pharmaceutical giants requiring the animal experiment of their medical products to be conducted in AAALAC accredited organizations, more and more organizations related to experimental animals has joined the ranks of applying for AAALAC accreditation.

The application work had lasted for over one year since we have established AAALAC accreditation working team in March, 2014. During that period, Primed Biotech® has enriched and perfected IACUC (Association for Institutional Animal Care andUse Committee and IACUC management system, hereinafter referred to as IACUC),  which achieved the normalization of IACUC work. In accordance with the new laboratory animal management systemand guidelines requirements, animal cages and animal room facilities have been optimized. Primed Biotech® established our occupational health committee to formulate the occupational health and safety procedures of the management and use of laboratory animals and conducted occupational health assessment for our staff. Quantities of AAALAC related training programs, repeated on-site inspections have been done to standardize the management of experimental animals, and improvement have been made upon animal welfare, standard experimental operation, and the assurance of experimental quality.

On March 12, 2015, IACUC experts paid their visit to Sichuan Primed Shines Bio-Tech Co.Ltd., subsidiary of Primed Biotech®, and conducted a comprehensive inspection and evaluation on ICCAUC running, animal management,staff training, facility functioning, animal welfare and occupational health. Experts fully affirmed our system for the management and use of experimental animal and praised both our hardware and software.

Obtaining the accreditation of AAALAC International is a prefunding basis for international communication and competition. Passing AAALAC accreditation will undoubtedly enhance the technology level, service ability, and international competitive power, which will lay a solid foundation on establishing a new drug safetyevaluation technology platform that not only combines evaluation with researchbut also conforms to international norms of innovative drug research.
